How to.. Reset your EntraID's Client Secret for an Enterprise Federation

Pre-Requisites

• Authoritative access to your Identity Provider as described below

Procedure for Azure EntraID

Steps to Reset a Client Secret:

1. Sign in to the Azure portal .

2. Navigate to Microsoft Entra ID .

3. Go to App registrations .

4. Select the application: for which you want to reset the client secret.

5. Go to Certificates & secrets: in the left-hand navigation pane.

6. Click "New client secret" .

7. Enter a description for the new secret: (optional).

8. Select the expiration duration .

9. Click "Add" .

10. Copy the new secret value: immediately, as it will not be displayed again.

11. Update your application: with the new client secret value.

12. Consider deleting the old client secret: after you've updated your application.
