365 Analytics

Notice of End of Life for 365 Analytics Platform effective December, 2025.

365 Analytics is a platform designed to help customers understand their Microsoft 365 subscription(s) and see trends, analysis, and cost optimizations.

365 Analytics uses the metadata from your Microsoft 365 tenant to understand and analyze workloads and create custom reports of that metadata. Because of the unique changes with Microsoft Graph and changes to the SoftwareOne and Microsoft services, this platform is being retired.

This platform will be retired on December 15, 2026, or upon the expiration or renewal of your contract with SoftwareOne, whichever occurs first. You may save any of your reports and data before that date. Afterward, your data and access to the platform will no longer be available.

Availability

  • Customers who are currently onboarded and actively collecting data within the platform can continue to enjoy use of the platform through the duration of their contract, prior to expiration or renewal, or through December 15, 2026, whichever occurs first.

  • Customers can continue to enjoy the features of the platform, add/remove users or custom reports, and schedule and download reports.

  • Customers who have not completed onboarding by December 15, 2026 or who do not have appropriate tenant access to their Microsoft tenant will be removed from the platform.

Access Issues

If you are currently onboarded, but are facing issues with logging in, simply open a new request via your Subscription in the SoftwareOne Services Portal, or by following any of the supported support channels of your service.

Planning Your Transition

To ensure continuity of Microsoft 365 analysis and cost optimization, please work with your account team to transition to alternative solutions.

Customer Notifications

Starting on January 1, 2026, customers will see in-app banner notifications about the service ending. A landing page (this page) will provide frequently asked questions and additional information. If you require additional assistance, please contact your account team or open a new request via your Subscription in the SoftwareOne Services Portal, or by following any of the supported support channels of your service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my data be deleted after December 15, 2026?

Yes, all customer data within the 365 Platform will be removed (only from the platform, not from the Microsoft 365 platform). Prior to this date, you are advised to export any reports or data as required.

Can I still schedule reports?

Yes, you can still enjoy all parts of the 365 Analytics platform until December 2026, or until your contract with SoftwareOne expires or renews.

How do I export Reports or Data?

Depending on the type of report, you can export the entire report as a PDF, or you may need to download individual tiles/charts/tables from a widget within a report.

To download a report, simply click on Download PDF button from any report and choose a local file location

To save an individual widget, you can choose to either Print or Download the data. Simply click on the printer or the download button from any widget in the top right of the individual widget.

Note - some reports may be either cloned or created with a longer duration to capture additional period of data. For example, the built in report Executive Summary Report defaults to 7 days. If you choose to clone this report (simply click Edit and when asked to Clone the Report press Yes). You can then hit the Edit button on the toolbar, allowing you to change individual widgets time periods.

Can I bulk export all data

Unfortunately, given the amount of metadata, and the relationships between various data sources, graph endpoints, and tooling limitations, all data sources are unable to be exported. You can choose to create tables with individual data sources though to get a data source by data source view, which can then be exported through a standard widget. However, note that depending on the amount of data being rendered, some browsers and machines may prohibit the display or export of this data, so SoftwareOne cannot support this.
