The standard Microsoft 365 SKU, which originally included unlimited storage, was updated approximately two years ago in accordance with Fair Use policies. Since then, a storage limit of 50GB on a pooled basis has been in effect. Consequently, usage exceeding this limit results in a storage overage, which is billed at 25 USD per TB.
While this policy was immediately applied to new customers, SoftwareOne has largely absorbed these additional costs for existing clients until now. However, effective July 1st, we will implement this adjustment across our entire customer base. Clients using the "Microsoft 365 Enterprise (Incl. 50GB)" SKU who exceed their pooled limit will be billed for the additional storage used.
To avoid these overage charges, you have the option to switch to a Bundle SKU (M365 Unlimited Storage & Entra ID), which provides predictable costs. If you are interested in this option or have any questions, please contact your dedicated Account Manager.
We would like to inform you of an update regarding the licensing costs from our vendor. The vendor has implemented a revision in their pricing structure effective July 1st, which will be reflected in our billing starting from the August invoice cycle.
Please note that this change is driven by the vendor and is applicable across customers with utility billing of the respective services (it does not apply to customer on Term contract).
