Share a Secret

If you need to share a password, or a confidential file (max. 2.5 MB), you can use SoftwareOne’s Secret Sharing Service.

The service creates a single-use complex URL that expires after 24 hours. You can share this URL with your recipient to have them view the secure information you want to share. You can also be notified when the link has been accessed.

It’s open access and free to use for anyone.

When you open the page, you will see the following:

• Enter your secret message in the text box, you can hide the text by ticking ‘Conceal this message as you type’

• You can upload a file to the dotted area too

• If you want to be notified when your recipient has collected the secret, choose ‘Send me a confirmation e-mail’.

• When you click 'Create a secret link' you will be presented with the following page.

  • You can use this page to copy the link for sharing through chat etc., or click Send in e-mail to have the system start an email with the link in the body.
