Configuring Backup Tags in Azure

The purpose of these steps is to configure backup settings for a Virtual Machine in the Azure cloud platform using tags. By following these steps, users can configure the "swoBackup" tag with a specific value, which will determine the backup settings to be applied for the Virtual Machine.

The purpose of configuring backup settings in this way is to provide users with greater flexibility and control over how their Virtual Machines are backed up in Azure. By assigning specific backup settings to the "swoBackup" tag, users can ensure that backups are carried out according to their preferences, and that backup policies are aligned with their operational needs. This can help to ensure data availability, business continuity, and compliance with industry regulations.
